About
I owe the world a good explanation why I have these web pages up in the first place so let me first clear that up. One, I believe that I have something to contribute to the Web. Two, I thoroughly enjoy writing. And three, perhaps the best answer, lies in a wonderful line from the song Iris by the Goo Goo Dolls
“When everything’s made to be broken, I just want you to know who I am.”
A large part of who I am has been influenced by the institutions and corporations I have been at. I believe they should tell you something about the path that I have traced.
Educational Institutions
- The Hyderabad Public School (Begumpet). The school I went to in Hyderabad, India, the city I grew up in
- Indian Institute of Technology, Madras. Where I spent the best years of my life; I did my undergraduation in Chemical Engineering from September, 1997 to June, 2001
- Washington University in St. Louis. I did my Masters in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering as a Graduate Research Assistant under Dr. Ron K Cytron from January, 2002 to December, 2003
Corporations
- Ximian, Inc (now a division of Novell, Inc.). I worked on the Mono project with Miguel de Icaza, my manager at the time
- Morgan Stanley. One of the top-tier investment banks on Wall Street; I was a Technology Associate in their New York office
- Hillcrest Labs, Inc. A technology startup located in the Washington, DC metro area; Hillcrest is where I learnt the ropes of running startups and all the things that make them so different
