Starting today, the official clique of “people with white wires hanging from their ears and disappearing into their jackets” has a new member – yours truly.
Faithful readers of my blog (who are a dwindling species no doubt given how often I actually end up posting here) will be astute enough to note that it was about a year and half ago that I mentioned how much in love I was with the iPod and (quite shamelessly) hinted that I wouldn’t mind getting one of those babies as a gift.

And sure enough, I now am the proud owner of a brand new iPod Mini (4G) that was gifted to me last week.
If you’re one of the millions of people who ply NYC Transit (also known as Subway), you might have noticed the proliferation of people lost in their iPod worlds. I was recently thinking about this myself and interestingly, there’s an article by Andrew Sullivan on this in the Sunday Times a few weeks ago. An interesting read with some pertinent points. There’s also a piece in AP New York.
Meanwhile, of course, it’s time to unleash myself on my daily commute. If I step on your foot by accident, please don’t be offended. I am probably just practising to move my feet like Led Zeppelin’s drummer!
