Okay so I think I am coming quite close to setting a record [in some conveniently chosen sample space, of course
] – my Thinkpad running RedHat Linux 7.3 has gone without a reboot or shutdown for 37 days now! Very nice indeed, considering that at one time, Thinkpads were notorious for causing lockups with Linux and X in particular.
[ravi@raj ravi]$ uptime 10:36am up 37 days, 1:25, 2 users, load average: 0.31, 0.44, 0.42
If you own a laptop and run Linux on it, please do leave a comment stating the maximum uptime you have seen. We can all have a nice competition here
Hmm, so onto other things. I just got in this morning after dropping my car off at the Fireston center on Forsyth. They are going to do the state inspection and check the brakes because they seem to behave in a slightly funny manner. After that the only thing that remains is to get my vehicle registered and we are done !
Last night was fun. After music class at Swapna’s place [where I did decently inspite of being quite irregular with practice], Vidya and I came home and then took my car for a small spin. Nonda and Booze joined us too and soon we were all driving around having a good time
I think I am too much in love with my car !
