I have just discovered that I am a complete natural at ice skating 
Last evening turned out to be the first time I ever set foot in an ice-skating rink and by the time I was done, I was doing speed skating and going around in circles and some other stunts like turning around quickly too ! I wonder if it has to do with all the training that I received as a kid, in roller skating. Back when I was 10 or 11, I spent a whole summer vacation in Vizag [a nice coastal city in AP, India] waking up at 6:00 am and going down to the skating rink near the beach and spending a good 3 hours practising racing and other stunts with a bunch of kids out there, all under the guidance of a coach too.
Anyhow, the only downside to the evening was that I managed to actually fall twice – one time because I tried to perform a stunt quite beyond me and another time because I was talking to somebody and not concentrating on my skating Overconfidence was always my problem. My right thigh is paining a bit and my knee is a bit bruised. Oh well, it doesn’t matter
Later in the evening we went to eat some dessert at ‘Fitz’s’ and spent a considerable length of time chatting about a whole lot of things. Nonda was quite entertaining [oh she fell twice too in the rink ] with some of her chatter.
I was back home around 11 something. Listened to some great music while I hacked away on the lab assignment in Dr. Gill’s course. Interceptors sure are fun.
