Okay so there haven’t been any posts here in more than a week and that I think is a general indication of one of two things :
a) I don’t consider my blog important enough to write everyday
b) I just haven’t been able to find the time and – this is important – the right mood in the last week which has been absolutely crammed with events.
If you know me well enough, you will see plainly that (b) is indeed the case here. And how have I been so monumentally busy ? Well, that is what I humbly present myself once more to tell you about
First things first. This Saturday was the culmination of a 3-week long effort, which a bunch of us from Umang put in, for the Diwali show that we organized jointly with the Olin India Club [see my previous entries to get a context
] and I have to admit that after all the heavy exchange of hot words with Prashant and the B school people in general [all thanks to the exasperation on our side because of their pure unprofessionalism], the show turned out quite nicely indeed. From Umang we had a bunch of people performing items like a dance [Vidye, Swapna and Dhanasree], carnatic music [Vidye and Suprina with Jai, Anand and Srinivas], a sitar recital, Rabindra sangeet by Madhura and Debalina etc and I have to say that all of them were performed with a certain finesse which made them all the more fun
Being the busy dude that I fashion myself out to be, I spent the entire show managing the lights and the audio alongwith the chap John in the mixing booth. Needless to say, I enjoyed myself thoroughly and in the end, was commended by a lot of people for my good work. Thank you all
After the show, off we went to Swapna’s house for a party but I really was too tired to dance around so I just sat in one place and had fun sipping on some juice
This week it has been back to the grind – I made a lot of progress on my Data Security project and wrote some nice and elegant C code
The Computer Arch course is of course, teaching me lot of new things and it’s time I got back to studying so here’s a promise that from now on, I shall be more order in my life – which means that I shall be writing my blog more regularly
Dear Ravi,
Read your blog just now.It felt good.Keep writing but only when you have time… only when you feel like…..not under the pressure of writing. That will take away the fun and add to your burden. Last night I chatted with Vidya.By then you have still not reached school.
Bye….Amma
