Day Two and getting used to it

Wednesdays happen to be the only day in the week when I actually wake up at an hour as sane as 8:00 am. Why Wed you ask ? Quite simple see – I need to meet my advisor, Ron, and tell him what progress (or lack thereof) I am making in my research :-)

I also happened to preview my new blog to nOnda who didn’t seem very happy with it – called it “not user friendly” which I think is a phrase she throws at anything in the world of computers she doesn’t like ;-)

And what do you think I am doing now ? Writing this from my Windows machine since the IBM chap is currently tearing away at the guts of my Thinkpad – it makes me cry to even think about it !

I was reading the NYTimes today and in the article on the recent gunning in the temple in Gujarat, I came across this :

Many of the casualties took place in Exhibition Hall No. 1, whose marble floor was covered with blood from the bodies of civilians. Broken glass, bangles, a pair of eyeglasses and a government identity card were scattered about. A sign that was part of the exhibition read, “Man is the maker of his own happiness.”

Oh and yes all you dudes hoping to see my old activity log pages, the transition is complete ! Goodbye Netscape Composer – you did serve me well all these years :-)

I exchanged an interesting bunch of emails [another in a long series] with Natasha today and I found her perspective on weblogs such as this quite interesting. I think it has to do with how you view the Net and what you define as “personal”

I also set Booze up with his blog which you can read here . I think it is fun to have your friends too blogging :-)

In the evening it was time to go driving with Vidye – my parallel parking is finally turning out correct and I think with a bit more practise, I should be in good shape for the test. We finished up and then drove to Schnucks to get some stuff for Vidye – had a fun drive back home, teasing Vidye as she gave directions to Sumanth [who btw, is in town :-) ]

Dinner with Sumanth at India Palace. Had a most enjoyable evening since Sumanth is great fun to be with :-)

Hmm, so I still seem to be stuck to my old activity log style of blogging :-)
